Celebrate Life at Rioz Brazilian Happy Hour

Let’s hit Brazil by way of - Myrtle Beach, more precisely - North Myrtle Beach. Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse is one of three in South Carolina. The beef here follows Southern Brazilian cooking that involves slow cooking over a wood fire with coarse sea salt. This is smoky, tender, and juicy. You will order more and more. But what if you’re looking for smaller and more varied portions Here’s a Jetsetter tip given to us by one of our sources. Hit Rioz happy hour. That’s right. It’s Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 PM. We used that intel and infiltrated with Jetsetters Barry and Diane. We start with two traditional Brazilian cocktails. Check out Jessika - our bartender! The restaurant chain tries to hire people of Brazilian descent to enhance the culture even more. Jessika was the perfect guide for our Happy Hour choices. First was the special cut sirloin, Picanha. This is a prime sirloin cut flavored with garlic. It’s a mouthful of crispy, juicy flavor - that we all agreed we would order again. Next, another must — beef fillet, wrapped with bacon. First, it is cooked to perfection. Second, it’s bacon wrapped around a filet! These dishes were plentiful - enough for 4 of us to share, because each couple - shared the best “happy hour” side-dish ever and it momentarily transports you - to a gourmet buffet - in Las Vegas. Rioz calls their buffet — the market table. For happy hour, you take a Market table trip with one big plate that you can pile on as much as you’d like — but only one time for that happy hour price. You need to be selective though. We suggest walking the market first — like we do in Vegas — to narrow down your top choices. There’s so much. Fruit, salad, cheese, Brazilian chicken, shrimp, and even sushi – just to name a few. Next, and finally, you will want to save room -- for grilled pineapple. It is dipped in cinnamon and sugar, and then slow roasted just like the meats. And it’s as succulent and juicy as the beef. This also goes nicely with the two happy hour cocktails. So, if you are in the Myrtle Beach area for a Beach or Golf getaway, Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse is a must at least one night.
