Today I wanted to share with you The Perfect Tortilla Press! This video has been sponsored. I wanted to share a demonstration of how this press works.

I have been told that similar kitchen tools are used all over the world and are very popular in the middle east, India and South America. So it makes sense that it would now come to America and help us all make our own tortillas. Today I have made my recipe for flour tortillas and tried it out on this press.

Overall, I thought the press worked well and would be a welcomed addition to the new cook's kitchen and for those folks who want a quick and easy way to evenly cook flatbreads such as tortillas, both flour and corn as well as other international delicacies such as arepeas, Roti, Chapai, Naan, and more. Every culture has their own version of flatbread, whether it be a basic mixture made from flour, water and oil or shortening/lard or something more complex using other types of grain such as whole wheat, barley, cornmeal or buckwheat. The possibilites are endless.

I found this press to be easy to use and easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe, but truthfully, I found it very easy to simply wipe with a damp cloth and dry before putting away. I think it is nice to be able to pull this out instead of your large griddle if you just wanted to make a few of something instead of doing a marathon flat bread session.

I also think that this would be a nice way to make a double tortilla quesadilla or even a grilled cheese sammie. Think of this like a panini without the ridges.
