Roberts is the name behind many boats, both sail and power. Carry out a Boatsonline search and you will find ten pages of Roberts models for sale around the country. I'd be curious to know just how many of his yachts are cruising the world at any one time, hundreds I expect. While she hasen't yet completed a circumnavigation, locally built 'Outlook' has provided immence enjoyment for WA boaties for decades cruising between Rottnest, the Abrolhos and as far north at the Montebello Islands.

Two cabins provide a comfortable double berth in the owners stateroom and a v-berth up in the bow for three guests or the kids. There is a shared bathroom with hot shower.

The galley is located to starboard on the lower level opposite the master cabin. It features an electric hob, above and below bench storage and large sink - enough space to prepare a gourmet meal.

'Outlook' has a massive beam, this translates into a spacious saloon featuring two opposing lounges and a dining table to port. The windows were replaced some years ago with slightly tinted glass and more modern profile. As her owner demonstrated, these panoramic windows make manoeuvring the boat into tight spaces from the lower helm a breeze.

The rear deck is perfect for entertaining and large enough for a dozen or so guests. An overhead hardtop not only provides shade for three quarters of the cockpit but also makes the perfect sky lounge (A Maritimo coined term) once the tender has been deployed.

'Outlook' is not a precious boat, in fact her current owners say she is ideal platform for families with kids to run around on. You don't have to worry about high gloss cherrywood being scratched or the carpets soiled, she's not that kind of boat. However if you're looking for a boat that you could spend months on with the family then 'Outlook' is a cheap option with traditional lines and plenty of living space.
