Eddie Cantor is your host of The Colgate Comedy Hour from April 13, 1952. Eddie entertains the Military, the Tank Men of Camp Irwin, California. He pulls out the "little address book" he found on the corner of Hollywood and Vine. As he reads the entries of the ladies in the book, they come to life on stage. As pretty as Vargas girls, the pages of the book unfolds as the ladies dance onto the stage, like pin-up girls coming to life! Eddie, of course, dances with them. The next skit is Eddie Cantor in his famous character, Maxi The Taxi. Constance Moore sings a beautiful song. To conclude Eddie sings "This is the Army" with a talented group pf GI's. This film reel was aired 8 to 8:30 PM New York time. Unfortunately we do not have the final half. Original commercials intact. Mastered from a 16mm kinescope film.
