SPAG: Clocking & Sync Part 2/3: IEEE 1588 and PTPv2
This is the second part of a three part series covering timing and synchronization in general, and in the third part, the Cisco SPAG products in particular.
This portion covers an introduction and overview of the IEEE 1588 or PTP V2 protocol. Ideal for those that don't really understand what it is, or how packet based timing works.
We also expand on Part 1 with more details on Phase and Time (of Day) synchronization. Towards the end, we also cover the features supported in the Cisco SPAG platforms
