A lot of watch aficionados consider the price point of the Marinemaster as too high compared to a Tudor Black Bay. Bearing in mind how the brand Tudor was perceived for a long time ("the poor man's Rolex"), I am not sure if that is a valid perspective. Today, Tudor exists to annoy Omega and to throw them off track in their race against Rolex. Tudor is providing the models you can't obtain from Rolex (Sub, GMT) readily available and at a more affordable price point. They even have a few original offerings like Glamour or Clair de Rose, however these are not that interesting (and probably have to compete against Longines rather than Omega).

With the Marinemaster you are getting an original design from the 1960s and a true (luxury) tool watch that can still perform its duty (saturation diving) from a reputable brand.
