Lovie's Reunion - Owner and dog reunited after tragic car accident

Early April 3, a pregnant woman, Glendy, and one of her beloved dogs, sustained serious injuries when the driver of a stolen car hit terrible accident on the 134 Freeway in Burbank, California. The devastating accident left Glendy, who is seven months pregnant, with a brain injury, broken jaw and brain hemorrhaging - amazingly, her unborn baby survived and is okay.

Rezkalla's dog, Lovie, was also seriously injured in the impact - thanks to a compassionate firefighter, the dog was taken to an emergency veterinarian for care. At the Burbank Shelter, Lovie underwent two surgeries for injuries which include a broken jaw, broken teeth, punctured lung and fractured ribs.

An area rescuer, JJ Nielson, of JJ Woofin' Paws Rescue Agency, raised funds to help pay for Lovie's surgery, medication and time in the veterinary hospital.
