The concept of "the joy of comfortable mobility" served as the foundation for the creation of a space that promotes consideration and appreciation for everyone on board, from the driver to the rear seat passengers. Whether traveling with loved ones, family members, or important visitors to and from work, this concept was aimed at fostering a sense of shared comfort in various situations.

The design philosophy of "Forceful x IMPACT LUXURY" was employed to convey a powerful and dynamic forward momentum, while ensuring a spacious interior within a compact body size suitable for Japan. Special attention was given to minimizing vibration and noise that could cause discomfort, resulting in a level of comfort comparable to that of a luxury sedan. The incorporation of "Omotenashi" (hospitality) principles guided the inclusion of high-quality and comfortable features.

The all-new Vellfire was meticulously crafted to cater to the discerning preferences of customers. An exclusive new Z Premier grade was introduced, elevating the Vellfire's distinctive aggressive appearance with an unprecedented touch of sophistication. It boasts unique suspension tuning and a dedicated powertrain unit to deliver an exhilarating driving experience.

Toyota recently announced the launch of the all-new Alphard and Vellfire models, available in both gasoline and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) versions. Sales began on June 21, with plans to introduce plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) in the future as part of Toyota's commitment to carbon neutrality.

The Alphard was initially introduced in 2002 during a wave of minivan popularity, positioning itself as the ultimate luxury minivan by targeting customers who sought premium features. In 2008, Toyota introduced the Vellfire as a new model to cater to customers seeking greater individuality, alongside the second-generation Alphard. In 2015, the third-generation Alphard further enhanced ride comfort with a new double wishbone rear suspension and introduced the top-tier Executive Lounge grade. Toyota successfully transformed the Alphard and Vellfire from minivans into ultra-spacious luxury saloons, appealing to a broader customer base by constantly striving for greater levels of luxury.

During the development of the fourth-generation models, the design team deliberated on the values they wanted the Alphard and Vellfire to embody. They aspired to create spaces where all passengers could experience consideration and appreciation, coining the term "the joy of comfortable mobility." With this vision in mind, they proceeded with development, incorporating these values into their inherited principles.

In pursuit of the "joy of comfortable mobility," the fourth-generation Alphard and Vellfire were built on a new platform, designed to elevate their performance to a global standard. As luxury saloons, the new Alphard and Vellfire have undergone improvements in basic performance aspects such as vibration and noise reduction, fuel efficiency, and driving dynamics. Additionally, enhancements have been made to the interior and exterior design, spaciousness, and user-friendliness, adding value in line with the development concept.

The development team also emphasized clearer differentiation between the Alphard and Vellfire models. The Vellfire now boasts an exclusive new Z Premier grade, featuring primarily black equipment and an aggressive demeanor infused with a newfound sophistication, further accentuating its distinct exterior. With special suspension tuning and a dedicated powertrain unit, the all-new Vellfire provides an enhanced driving experience, specifically tailored to customers attracted to its unique characteristics.
