Short Detecting Video of Two Very Remote Researched Locations

This is a short metal detecting video of two very remote metal detecting locations I researched.
Location 1 is in Oregon on Sauvie Island. On a previous hunt I found an old home site farther north, with some really cool old relics. Unfortunately this time even though we went to all the trouble to take a boat out there, there was a lot of melted metal so I think anything really good was melted in a fire. Plus it was insanely hot out and the sun was beating down on us all day.
Location 2 is in the Gifford Pinchot National forest in Washington. It’s the site of an old burned down hotel where they drank mineral water. I took one of our favorite customers and a new hunting buddy of mine out to check the site out. I also tried panning gold I’m the creek with no luck. We ran into a lot of pottery, melted glass, melted metal lead etc.
We were both using the Minelab Equinox 800 with the 11” inch stock coils.
I toggle between 15kHz and Multi, in Park 2, recovery speed 2, iron volume on (but turned down), no iron bias (FE & F2 at 0).
Come check out our friendly metal detecting shop, we love making new friends, chatting about gold prospecting and metal detecting, and we are one of the largest stocked dealers in the NW!
