Editing Details:

For the editing process, the main creative goal was clear from the start: bring Arnold Schwarzenegger back into The Running Man universe. Every cut, music choice, and story beat was built around honoring the original film while modernizing its tone for today’s audience. I focused on selecting shots that emphasized scale, control, and spectacle to make the return of the game feel bigger and more dangerous than before. The pacing starts restrained to build tension, then gradually ramps up into faster, more aggressive cuts to sell the idea that this is not just a sequel, but a full revival of the franchise.

Even though the original film was considered a box office flop, it’s always been a movie I personally enjoyed, and that passion drove this entire project. This fan-made trailer was edited as a “what if” scenario, created in the hope that filmmakers see there is still interest and potential in The Running Man as a franchise. By reimagining the concept and visually framing Arnold’s return as something meaningful, the goal was to spark conversation among fans and show that there’s room for more Running Man movies in the future.
