Taal Volcano Erupts in Batangas, Philippines | Ash and Smoke Tower Take Over Taal Lake | APT

The Taal Volcano erupted on October 26, sending ash and smoke plumes soaring over 2,000 meters into the sky above Taal Lake in the Philippines.

Footage shows the moment a minor eruption was followed by a more powerful explosion at the volcano’s crater, releasing thick clouds of ash and steam.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the eruptions were classified as minor, and Alert Level 1 remains in effect.

The Office of Civil Defence (OCD) has reminded residents and tourists to avoid traveling to Taal Volcano Island, which remains a permanent danger zone.
