Did P!nk's "Hurt 2B Human" Flop?

P!nk is one of those artists that will always hold her icon status, even if she isn’t always circling around the public’s eye. Seen by some as a trailblazer who inspired modern artists like Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Adele, Julia Michaels and Kehlani, just to name a few.

Bursting onto the scene with her eye-catching novelty displayed in her insanely impressive vocals all while performing acrobatics, P!nk could be seen as the only artist of her kind, especially given her tough chick image she’s maintained.

I’m sure you get it, P!nk is a legend. Though her seventh album, “Beautiful Trauma” was a critical mixed bag, it offered P!nk’s highest first week sales of 408,000 units, upwards from “The Truth About Love”’s 280,000 copies.

The latter album gave P!nk her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, and reigniting a fire into her career for the new decade. However, things seemed to take a change of direction when her eighth album, “Hurts 2B Human” came out in 2019.

The album would still debut at number one, but would fall down to raking in 115,000 units and 95,000 copies, being the second best pure selling album of the week. But the album would fall to No. 6 the next week with a 68% decrease of 36,000 units.

While “Beautiful Trauma” would offer the moderate Top 20 hit, “What About Us”, the singles off “Hurts 2B Human” would not crack past No. 49 on the Hot 100, with some singles failing to chart at all.
