Lady Gaga is known for her bizarre, colorful and expressive costuming. Throughout her career, many have balked at these looks, dismissing them as existing for shock and to grab the attention of the public.

While the latter may be true, Lady Gaga’s fashion is more than meets the eye. It’s not just to be different, it’s to tell a story. Believe it or not, Lady Gaga purposely develops these wild looks as a form of artistry.

So in today’s video, we’re going to take a look back at some of Lady Gaga’s memorable fashion looks. We’re going to see what these outfits were, and what Gaga’s true intention was with them.

There is always more than meets the eye, especially with an outfit that can hold so many layered meanings and different interpretations. As we continue, let me know what your favorite look of Lady Gaga is and tell me in the comments.

Much of Lady Gaga’s most notable looks are derived from a surreal and avant-garde style; imposing very dream-like and experimental concepts one would uncover only within the subconscious mind.
