BERING 92, a fully-custom explorer for prolonged bluewater trips

Launched in 2022, Papillon, the 29.08-meter explorer from Bering, is a real expedition vessel. Developed by the team of the in-house designers and engineers with strong input from the owner, B92 is a unique custom-built boat. Steel hull and aluminum superstructure allow her to have a second-to-none set of features and design solutions.

Bering 92 has a full displacement hull with roomy living, recreational, and working areas. She sports a pale-gray and red boot stripe outside finish, which works in perfect unison with delicate and stylish interior designs. Straight lines, simple but elegant creative concepts bring B92 to an almost minimalistic level.

The main features of this boat are five contemporary-style cabins comfortably accommodating 10 guests and spacious recreational zones including an impressive saloon, a flybridge and a swimming platform. Roomy crew quarters are placed aft of the engine compartment and include crew resting mess, separate bathroom, a galley and some other amenities.

Two Cummins QSM-11 engines produce a combined 1220 HP. This allows B92 to maintain 9 knots cruise speed while easily reaching and sustaining her maximum at 13 knots. Additional power source has 5 solar panels. 175 tons of displacement at full load allows for an impressive 23,000-liter fuel tank to ensure more than 3,500 nautical miles of non-stop travel.
