Best Companies To Drive Truck With For New CDL Holders & Recruiter Truthfulness
http://RedVikingTrucker.com
This video discusses the best companies to drive for, and tolerating companies who pay your way and pay you less for your first year being a new CDL truck driver.
Every company I spoke with had their pluses and minuses, and I had to make a decision based on my needs, my driving choice, and my 'gut instinct' when it was all said and done.
I too had heard the b.s. some recruiters spouted, and I know some of it got past me and I probably believed it without having a frame of reference to know if it was true or not.
I think I've made a good choice for my 6-12 month training driving to possibly get to the owner operator level, and I just asked all the questions I shared in a previous video, and I keep letting my dispatchers know I WANT TO RUN, not be home every weekend.
That mindset has helped being a new CDL truck driver, and Im sticking to it, plus keeping my clock open for driving hours, not worrying about detention or breakdown pay.
My strategy seems to be working, as I'm averaging over 1000 per week take home so far.
I recommend you keep your head down, foucs on you and your driving schedule, and get through the 1st 6-12 months as best you can.
Thats my advice for new CDL truck drivers wanting to make this 18 wheel big rig driving a career.
