Bahamians Rescue Elderly Neighbor After Dorian Floods Home
After Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas, residents came to the aid of their neighbors in need. A group of people in Ol’ Freetown Farm joined together to help evacuate an elderly woman from her flooded home and get her to a hospital. Virginia Mosvold, 84, was carefully transported on a recliner. Her rescuers gently carried her from a truck and then helped her into another vehicle to get her to a doctor.
