BEMAC presents Bolivia Marka in Virtual Reality
#180 #VR #Immersive
"La Fiesta Latina" brings together musicians, singers and dancers from Bolivian and Spanish heritage to the heart of Brisbane. Traditional Bolivian dance and Latin acapella music will come together to provide a night of festivity, folklore, and raw energy. Come join us at the Queensland Multicultural Centre for an evening of Latin performance art.
The Bolivia Marka dancers are a group of fun-loving passionate people who have diverse cultural backgrounds, including Bolivia, Peru and Australia brought together by their shared passion of Bolivian music and dance.
The folkloric music and dances of Bolivia originate from a variety of regions throughout the country and each dance represents a unique cultural story.

Formed in 1999, the Bolivia Marka dance group has a long and colourful history and has performed at countless cultural events around Australia.
As Queensland’s most dynamic producer of multicultural arts, BEMAC has been successfully staging ground-breaking productions that fuel the diverse practice of artists from a variety of different cultural backgrounds for almost three decades.
Established in 1987 by a group of passionate advocates and artists inspired to bring the creative work of a new generation of multicultural artists into the spotlight, BEMAC has grown to become the state’s leading multicultural arts producer, presenter and artistic development organisation.
In 2015 BEMAC merged with Access Community Services Limited, one of Australia’s pioneers in the provision of support services for newly arrived refugees, migrants and culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Queensland.
This alliance recognises the importance of the arts in building social cohesion and inclusion and is indicative of BEMAC’s commitment to the excellence of artistic practice and programming.
We are renowned for showcasing the innovative work of multicultural artists who are largely missed by institutional radars but whose distinctive and distinguished work has the potential to cross from the margins into the mainstream.
