Having a vision in mind when you start anything is the secret to getting to the finish line.

The whole “let’s wait and see how it goes” attitude will slow you down and other people who are clear in their goals and know how to execute will eat your lunch.

I had multiple offers from people and PE wanting to buy solidcore throughout the years. I had offers from companies that wanted to franchise us. I didn’t get enticed by any of it because that wasn’t the plan.

I promoted a new CEO at 80 locations while I moved into the Executive Chairwoman role and still controlled the company. This succession planning allowed me to sell my shares when we got to 100 locations without an earn-out because I proved the business model worked without its founder intimately involved.

Build with a vision so that no one can else can control your ending.
