How to Make a Hobbled Roman Shade

The hobbled roman shade, sometimes called the teardrop shade, works just like a flat roman shade, except that the shade is fashioned with horizontal pleats (hobbles) that run across the front at regular intervals. In the raised position a hobbled roman shade does not look much different from a flat roman shade. However, in the lowered position the hobbled roman shade contains soft pleats or teardrops making a grad appearance in any position.
