First Ever Live TV Performance of Westside in 1998 (Now known as Westlife)

The new group, formed on the 3rd of July 1998, was renamed Westside but that name was already in use by another band, so it was changed to Westlife after a few months. It was revealed that Louis Walsh was already calling them Westlife before Westside name came along.

This is their first-ever live television performance as Westside and as a group in Ireland and around the world. It was broadcasted on the 13th of November 1998 in "The Late Late Show".

They performed here the song called "Flying Without Wings." During this time they've never released any single yet. Westlife debuts their first single on 19th of April 1999 with "Swear It Again."
