Good day folks, Rod from My Water Filter here today, and what we're gonna do is have a look at the seven stage bench top water filter. It's the Multi Use pH Elevation model and it's got a wide range of uses. So we're gonna un-box it, give you a look at what's inside and put it together just in case you're interested in having a look and show you how easy it is. They're very simple these, absolute beauties. So you'll open the box up, you can see there's some writing and instructions on each end of the box, so you can take a look at there if you need a hand. But they are very, very simple water filters.

Here we go, so, here we go. Here's the base. You get the base, you set it down on a flat surface like a table or counter, and your off and good to go. From there. We get our bottom tank. What you can do is get a bit of water. It is brand new, a bit of water, a bit of lemon in the water, just give it a wipe out inside before you use it, and you'll be good to go. So, here's our bottom tank, and it's going to sit down on this base in a second when we're ready.

What we'll do first is we'll just install the tap. There a good little tap these. We have hardly ever, have any returned at all. So, they're working very nicely. Very simple, just push the glass in to fill. Thread on the end comes with two washers. Straight on with the first one, okay. We're gonna stick it through the hole in the bottom of the tank. We'll put the second washer on. Lock it up with a locker nut, okay. In we go, on with the washer.

On with the locker nut. Okay, now what I'll do, I'll hold the tap about the nine or 10 o'clock mark on a clock. I'll do the nut up in the inside as tight as I can. But, don't hold on to that chrome piece. You're just going to break it off, all right. It's supposed to be pushed forward to fill the glass. But, it does twist. And you can just hold on to the white tap part, and just gently turn it up to 12 o'clock to tighten it up. And when it's nice and straight at 12 o'clock that should be tight enough for you.

There's no where for any water to leak out. The only place it could leak is around the tap. So, if you've got a little dribble, or anything like that, you might wanna get a tool get the nut on the inside and just tighten it up. It's got a very good washer on the outside. Good washer on the insides. So, it just needs that nut tightened up. As long as it's nice and tight, it won't leak and you'll be good to go. Once we're tight, we just push the bottom holding tank into the base, make sure it's good and solid, okay.

Next piece is our mineral pad. Quite a large mineral pad in these filters. And what happens in construction of making the pad and transportation bringing them here, is you can get a few little fines come out of the minerals. So, take the mineral pad, put it in a bucket of water. Give it a swirl around, get all the fines off. Or run it under a kitchen tap and just flush it all through. Once you're good to go, this mineral pad sits in the bottom of the water filter in the base and it'll release minerals into the water.

Take care of our health, okay. Simple as that, just sits there, all right. If there are any worries, and you weren't into mineral water, or anything like that, you can simply just not use the mineral pad or take it out and just use normal water, okay. From there, this is the mid plate, okay. This is the mid plate which hold the middle filter, the carbon cartridge which hangs down underneath. Supports the base and holds to top tank on, okay. Just cut open the middle cartridge.

Same again, what'll happen here is bouncing around in transport et cetera and in production. And you'll find that you can get some black fines from the carbon, and also the mineral on the bottom. So, what I'll suggest you do, put it in a bucket swirl it around, get that off. Or run it under the kitchen tap and just run water through it just to get any of the fines off. And then you're good to go. It's got a threaded top, and that threaded top is gonna lock in here into the thread on the mid tank. Now, you need to get it nice and straight.

If you just take your time and hold it nice and level it should screw in fine for you, okay. I find it easier to turn the mid plate upside down and sit it on the bench to screw it in because it's just easier to hold it level. If you do hold it up like so, you can screw 'em in no worries.
