In the 80s, iconic comedies came out all the time, and the king of the genre was no doubt John Hughes. In this video, we examine how his early films as a writer, National Lampoon's Vacation and Mr. Mom paved the way for his rise as a writer-director, culminating in perhaps his funniest movie ever - Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
