Curiosity and Our Evolving View of the Red Planet
Planetary scientist Dr. Kirsten Siebach of Rice University discusses how our views of Mars have evolved over the past 50 years. Siebach presents a timeline of how robotic exploration of Mars, specifically the Curiosity rover, has changed our perceptions of the habitability of the Red Planet. This was the first presentation in the Lunar and Planetary Institute’s 2018–2019 Cosmic Exploration Speaker Series, “The LPI at 50: A Half Century of Solar System Exploration.”
