Julie London (1926-2000), the singer and actress, who was born Gayle Peck, was an insecure and shy artist who didn't think much of her vocal talent (she was uncomfortable performing before live audiences), but she was gifted with a sultry, sensual, smooth voice that graced many popular standards of the 50s and 60s. Whether jazz, ballad, or blues, Julie made these songs all her own without taking away the merit of other singers of her era. This haunting wistful song is just too beautiful not to share (although I'm sure it's already up on here somewhere). Enjoy.
