This Preliminary Report by Dr. Rolando Morales and co-authors reviews the debate in the literature: which plane is safest for gluteal implant augmentation, finding that the subfascial/intramuscular dual-plane technique combined with liposculpture and fat transfer offers a durable cosmetic augmentation, without an increase in complications.
