Harrogate Walk: Town Centre【4K】

Situated in North Yorkshire in the north of England is the spa town of Harrogate.

In the 16th century Harrogate's mineral spring water was discovered, which subsequently brought in tourists to the town in search of health remedies. Signs of its past are visible, such as the Royal Pump Room which we see shortly after the 12 minute mark. This is a Grade II Listed Victorian building built in 1842 - formerly a spa water pump house, and currently a museum.

Starting from the railway station we head into the Montpellier Quarter, where we see the famous Bettys tea room, owned by Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate - of Yorkshire Tea fame. Later on we reach the Valley Gardens, one of the finest looking parks in the UK (in this YouTuber's humble opinion)!

For three consecutive years from 2013-2015 Harrogate was voted the happiest place to live in Britain.
