Volcano erupts on Spain's Canary Islands
A volcano has erupted on La Palma in Spain’s Canary Islands, sending lava, smoke, and ash into the air.
Authorities are rushing to evacuate around 1,000 people as lava threatens isolated homes on the mountain.
There are five eruption points with two of them spewing magma.
No deaths or injuries have been reported but roads have however collapsed.
The last eruption on La Palma was 50 years ago, in 1971, and lasted three weeks.
