La Palma volcano: night footage shows spectacular lava flow after crater collapses

La Palma’s volcano threw lava and rocks into the air as it entered its fifteenth day of eruption on Monday. Red hot lava could be seen pulsing down the sides of the volcano as the eruption continued to gather momentum. Local media reported the north side of the volcano had collapsed late on Sunday, causing a faster flow of lava. Cadena Ser radio said the collapse had formed a new lava flow that was threatening several nearby towns.
