⭐ Solo Canoe Trip with a Skin on Frame Canoe

This video is about a solo canoe trip I did in early July 2018. I headed out to Algonquin Park alone for a three day backcountry canoe trip and to try a skin on frame canoe for the first time.

Jon from Backcountry Custom Canoes let me borrow one of his "Brookie" skin on frame canoes for the weekend to try it out.

This was my first time using a skin on frame canoe.

During the trip I tested the canoe, built a temporary bushcraft bench, had campfires and cooked over the fire. The weather was perfect but it has been a drier and hotter year than normal and conditions in the park were getting dangerously dry.
