Police Arrested 3 In Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada Over Suspected Terror Activity, Probe Underway

Three arrested in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, in suspected terrorist activity. The issue of suspected terror links in Vijayawada is creating a major stir across the state. Counter-Intelligence officials have taken into custody three youths—identified as Mohammed Rahamatullah Sharif, Mirza Sohail Baig, and Mohammed Danish—who were found expressing support for terrorist activities on social media. Currently, Counter-Intelligence officials are interrogating the trio.

Officials have established that they maintained links with handlers based in Pakistan. The three individuals reportedly became acquainted at a mosque located in the One Town area. Intelligence officials have determined that they were attempting to radicalize youths in various regions and steer them toward terrorism. A case has been registered against them at the Kothapeta Police Station.
