Portage/Mahoning County, Ohio Tornado Warned Supercell (8-12-23)

On August 12, 2023 the storm prediction center placed Eastern Ohio into Western PA in an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms. The main hazards were to be damaging winds large hail some possibly significant, and a couple tornadoes.  A broken line of storms were expected to come through the area early afternoon with a potential for a couple of supercells as well. However, once the storms reached Akron, they began to break apart and become more super-cellular. Around 4 PM the national service out of Cleveland had issued a tornado warning on the storm coming out of Akron. That’s where the fun begins. I hope you enjoy this video!
