The Jews who found refuge in India
In the 1930s-40s, the leaders of India found a new and necessary task on their hands: Opening their country to Jewish refugees fleeing persecution in Europe. 5,000 Jews arrived to the safe haven of India during the Holocaust. It saved their lives.
