Sarah Frances Adkins - Funeral Service - November 24, 1935 - August 5, 2021

Sarah Frances Bean Adkins, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Carolina Pines of Asheville.

A native of Gaston County, she resided in Buncombe County since the early 1950’s. She was a daughter of the late Charles C. Bean and Almaree Bradley Bean. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Glenn Adkins, Jr.; daughter, Debora Adkins; puppy, Eli; sisters: Marie Allen and Barbara Paulson; and brothers: Lloyd Bean and Tommy Bean.

Mrs. Adkins was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, she loved the Lord and her family.

Surviving are her son, David Adkins and wife Linda; grandchildren: William Gibbs (Bernadette), Jennifer Solesby (Bruce), David Adkins, Jr., and Jason Adkins; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Zachary, Olivia, Mazzy, Elizabeth, Lukasz, Autumn, and Hayden; great-great-grandchildren: Sophia, Adeline, Mekhi, Christopher, and Zean; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Louise Dodd; and beloved dog, Toby.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Dennis Bean officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 till 11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
