Should I Use Ice?

Ice is old school. While everyone is different, it's mostly a big waste of time unless you have a warm swollen joint after a new injury (first 48-72 hours) or after surgery. Even then, movement tends to be a better way to manage swelling and pain. Ice, like heat, can decrease the perception of pain (by changing the brain's interpretation of how much of a threat we're facing) but also ultimately (theoretically) increases blood flow after we chill the body part.
