Q: What is Rock Band 4’s release date?
A: Rock Band 4 will be coming out on October 6th, 2015!

Q: Come on, guys. We’ve been asking for this forever – Rock Band 4 for the Wii U!
A: We have no plans to release the game on the Wii U at this time. When we looked at the data, we saw that the vast majority of our audience was on Xbox and PlayStation platforms and so we made the call that Rock Band 4 be designed to take advantage of everything the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 have to offer.

Q: What about those who play games on the PC? Will we ever see Rock Band out on the PC?
A: As mentioned above, our focus is on the platforms that have historically held our greatest Rock Band audiences, and so we will not have a PC version for launch. We are actively looking into PC as a future platform down the road!

Q: Can I still play original guitar solos, standard vocals, and standard drum fills?
A: You totally can! However, we think you’ll love the new stuff and hope you give it a try.

Q: You’ve confirmed that legacy DLC libraries will carry forward to Rock Band 4 within the same console family… will DLC purchased on PlayStation 3 carry over to Xbox One, or from Xbox 360 to PlayStation 4?
A: No. As a developer, we are doing everything we can to support entitlements; cross-console entitlements are not entirely within our control and will not be supported.

Q: Can I pre-order Rock Band 4?

Q: What are the bundle / instrument options?
A: For launch, we’ll have a band-in-a-box bundle (guitar, drum, mic and disc) and a guitar bundle guitar and disc. Check these retail links for more information:

Q: I want to pre-order a digital download of Rock Band 4! Where can I go to do this?
A: Harmonix is continuing to work closely with the first parties Microsoft and Sony to have digital pre-orders of Rock Band 4 available in late summer.

Q: I want to pre-order JUST the game – I have all of my instruments in working condition and ready to go. Where can I go to pre-order the game only?
A: We are on track to offer game-only pre-orders through Microsoft and Sony in early fall.

Q: I want to pre-order JUST the new guitar. Where can I go to order a standalone Rock Band 4 guitar?
A: We will not be selling standalone Rock Band 4 instruments for pre-order or at launch. This does not mean that we will never sell hardware separately from the game; we plan to make standalone instruments available in early 2016. We’re focused on manufacturing hardware to satisfy demand for the bundle offers that are currently live.

Q: I don’t want to pre-order until you tell me more about those colored Rock Band 4 instruments. Where can I pre-order one of those?
A: The white and red Rock Band 4 instruments will not be available for pre-order. These instruments were manufactured as prototypes used for demoes and marketing purposes, and we have no plans to release them into retail at this time.
