Pu'u Ma'eli'eli Pillbox Hike | Best Hikes on Oahu | HAWAII Hiking

Pu'u Ma'eli'eli is a moderate out and back trail that leads to a couple of Pillboxes with amazing views. The pillboxes are bunkers that were constructed during WWII and similar bunkers can be found around the island. The hike is mostly shaded and features wild flowers and lots of vegetation. The trail can get pretty muddy if it's rained recently so make sure you have good shoes. To see which shoes I used, check out the "Gear used for this video" section below.
