Muscle:

Types of Muscle:
1. Skeletal Muscle:

• Responsible for body movements and posture.
• Striated appearance under a microscope.
• Controlled consciously.
2. Cardiac Muscle:
• Found only in the heart.
• Involuntary muscle that contracts rhythmically to pump blood.
• Striated and branched fibers.
• Contains intercalated discs for synchronized contractions.
3. Smooth Muscle:
• Involuntary muscle found in the walls of internal organs (e.g., stomach, intestines, blood vessels).
• Non-striated appearance.
• Controls movements like digestion and blood flow.
• Regulated by the autonomic nervous system.
