" On this cold winter evening, Buddy was fast asleep, crawling into bed by the fireplace. Coming from the cold to a warm and cozy house, he ate, and then lay down on a blanket and instantly fell asleep. Today he had a very active and exciting day. Early in the morning, he and his owner Benjamin went ice fishing. Buddy always loved being outdoors with his best friend. This winter morning was no exception, and together with Benjamin they went on a short hike. The route to the mountain river ran along a narrow path through the forest. There was no snowfall in the morning, so the path was quite passable. When Buddy and his owner came to the river, Benjamin first checked the strength of the ice at the edge of the river, and then laid out the gear and cast his winter spinning rod. There was some excellent trout fishing in this river, and Benjamin had hopes that they would return home with a good catch today. And so it happened, towards noon there were several kilograms of fish in the fishing cage. At this time, Buddy closely watched his owner, and sometimes walked along the river, or simply had fun and ran after the birds. A little later, a light snow began to fall, which over time increased and turned into a blizzard. Benjamin realized that he needed to go home, called Buddy and began to collect his fishing gear. The snowfall increased, and Buddy and Benjamin walked back along the path. The distance to the house was not great, about 2-3 miles. But in a snowstorm, this route was not easy, since visibility was poor and the path was heavily covered with snow. With each new step it became more and more difficult to walk, and the snowdrifts were sometimes very high. Buddy had the hardest time walking, so without thinking, Benjamin threw the fishing rods over his shoulders to free his hands and picked Buddy up. It was quite a challenge for him to carry such a large dog, but Benjamin was a very strong man, and besides, Buddy was his best friend. So slowly they came to the house. The first thing Benjamin did was light the fireplace, then feed Buddy. After that, he went to the kitchen to clean the fish and prepare today's catch. When dinner was ready, Buddy was already fast asleep. Benjamin set the table, served delicious baked trout with potatoes, and began to eat dinner. Then he made himself some berry tea, sat in a chair by the fireplace and enjoyed the beautiful view from the window, the blizzard and the sounds of crackling firewood. His body was pleasantly tired, and his soul was happy. "
