A woman in Byron Bay had to rescue her dog, who was lost under a sea of foam, as wild weather batters Australia's east coast. Byron Bay's famous beach has all but disappeared, and more than 2,000 homes in the cities were out of electricity on Monday after strong winds struck power lines.
