Eighty years after WWII, Europe faces new threats from war, nationalism and the rising far right

Victory in Europe Day marked the surrender of Nazi Germany to Allied forces on 8th May 1945. That ended the most devastating war the continent had ever witnessed.
Many countries vowed to work towards a shared economic prosperity, hoping that better social conditions would help prevent the spread of radical ideas. But eighty years later, the far right in Europe is on the rise again.
