How To Consciously Breathe To Feel Better

When you get emotional, do you take deep breaths? Or do you hyperventilate? Perhaps you stop breathing? Deep yogic breathing, meditative breathing, conscious connected breathing are all conscious ways we can breathe to feel better, work out tension or other held back emotions.

We often forget to breathe, especially during times of stress, which can cause all sorts of issues.

In this week’s episode, we sit down with Licensed Acupuncture Physician Réquel Lopes and she talks about the benefits of circular conscious breathing and also shares some of her techniques.

It is fascinating how practicing to consciously breathe can uplift our mood, clear our minds, and create a better sense of peace.

Dr. Réquel Lopes, AP is the owner and healing practitioner at Dragonfly Wellness in Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale, FL. She earned her graduate degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the prestigious AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, in Austin, Texas.
