RIP sweet Scruffy 2007 ~ 26 June 2017

The saga of Scruffy the feral Tom cat comes to an end as finally the FIV virus won. I knew for several years that every healthy day for Scruffy was a gift, and it was a valiant battle, and he had a terrific life and he knew that he was loved. His veterinarian learned a great deal about treating FIV so perhaps this knowledge will mean that other cats can be helped in the future. Scruffy will live forever in my heart as one of the most loving and intelligent cats I have ever known.
