Bishop Creek California Experience the Eastern Sierra and Lake Sabrina

Sassy and I love to travel and camp any time we can. Especially the Sierra Nevada. We had some reservations in June Lake at the Pine Cliff Resort (RV hookups) that had to be changed due to the Inyo National Forest fire closures during Labor Day {week} so we went to Brown's Town Campgrounds in Bishop California a total of 4 nights. Located in the shadows of the beautiful Eastern Sierra and on the Owens River and Bishop Creek conjuction, this little city of about 3,700 residents have first dibs on all the fantastic fishing to be found in various rivers and creeks right in town. Nearby of course are other beatiful sights such as Lake Sabrina, North Lake, South Lake, Blue Lake, George Lake... are you getting the picture now? Oh, they were all closed while we were up there. The USDA Forest Service, Inyo National Forest issued a regional closure until well past our time due to the extreme fire danger. So any properties on Forestry land had to closed, even campgrounds that are privately run. We did find one camground called Creekside RV Park that is on the South Fork Bishop Creek and near the lakes but is on private property so it was open! We have drone footage... We also found some artesian swimming holes popular with the local Bishop townspeople and tourists alike. Easy to find, they are fed by uderground water naturally seeping up, aka spring. These swimming holes outflow into the Owens River. We also stopped at the Owens Valley Distilling Company and had a bite to eat (and drink!).
