The most powerful woman at the Vatican, Sister Nathalie Becquart, is the newly appointed under-secretary of the Synod of Bishops in Rome - the first and only woman to have a vote there. She told a Religion Media Centre briefing that her role is to help lead a process to introduce synods - assemblies - of lay and ordained, women and men, to reach consensus in decision making, building a communion that is missionary. She was speaking to Rosie Dawson and Christopher Lamb.
