Rescued Sea lion pup explores new habitat | Vancouver Aquarium

Bella Bella is exploring a new habitat this week! Last June, this young Steller sea lion was found at just a week old, stranded, lethargic, and minimally responsive by a lighthouse keeper on remote McInnes Island, B.C. She was flown to our Marine Mammal Rescue Centre where she received intensive care and rehab. Flash forward! A little more than a year later, this rambunctious sea lion is growing and learning every day and building a trusting relationship with our animal care team.
