TEENAGERS, TODDLERS & DRIVING 101. 01.15.2020
OUR TEENAGER & TODDLER CAN DRIVE THE PAYLOADER BUT I CANT!
_______
Dear viewer: That’s right we let our teenager operate heavy machinery. He has his license and also drives trucks and four wheelers and sometimes a trailer loaded with cattle. And yes I do worry about it, but I don't want you to. I love my children so much and would never put them in harms way doing something I didn't think they were qualified to do. I also know farm and ranch accidents happen and it breaks my heart when I hear the news of them. We are continually teaching and talking to Tad about all types of farm and ranch safety, beyond just driving equipment. Today's video is one of the whole family, which means it’s a weekend, otherwise Tad would be in school. This is the very reason why weekend choring is my favorite; it’s time together as an entire family spent doing what we love – caring for our animals and our land. We start this video out by driving through some cattle out at pasture to simple check in on them and make sure there are no problems. Then Tad and I take the payloader to grab some bales to feed some cattle and we end the video with Husband, Jaks and I feeding those bales to some of the cattle we have closer to home. I hope you enjoy spending the day with our family as much as we do sharing it.
As always, thanks for tagging along. So grateful for you all.
Until next time,
The Kovariks.

Hi Friends. We're the Kovarik's - a family of four ranching in central Nebraska. We're a first generation ranch sourcing our knowledge and work ethic from our 5th generation roots. Most days are a simple mess of family moments we've collected out in pasture on horseback or bouncing around in some dusty ranch trunk or tractor, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Luke’s the main rancher around here so we try and do what he tells us, but truth be told, were not always listening. Natalie is one hell of a #ranchwife who holds the home and acres together, and Tad (14) and Jaks (18 mos) are our two wild cowboys who depending on the day fluctuate between “literally no help” and “wow you were helpful I think we’ll keep you”. At the end of the day we’re just a typical rural American family living the rural American dream. So sit back, hang out and join us as we spend our days ranching & family-ing.
