Allied invasion of occupied Europe - liberation of France.
Various shots convoy of British army trucks advancing through rural France. Point of view shot from behind truck driver's seat. Road sign to Caen. The convoy passes through town where many buildings have been reduced to rubble, trucks pass building with columns and tall statue.
More shots convoy going along country roads, passing civilians on bicycles. The convoy passes signs to Falaise, Argenta, Versailles and Paris. Some shots of prisoners in a field being rounded up by Allied soldiers.
