Change a Free Form Guitar Loop into Quantize Loop. Sync it to MIDI Clock and to another Sequencer.
Here's a process for recording a guitar loop and then tapping in a tempo to make it a quantized loop that syncs to other sequencers. I read about this workflow in a forum topic and wanted to see if it could be done using CLOCKstep.
The process is as follows:
Recording of the guitar is free form in time. The Strymon Timeline accepts MIDI Comands, but doesn't follow MIDI Clock.
The CLOCKstep Tap Tempo function is used to set a tempo that approximates the guitar that was recorded.
The CLOCKstep Start command starts the Drum Sequencer using the new Tempo and automatically triggers the guitar loop to restart.
Every 1 Bar, CLOCKstep sends a command to the Timeline to start the loop over at the beginning. The loop can be reversed, stopped and started on demand, but it will always resync at the top of the bar.
