• 1230 - 1492 CE Nasrid Dynasty reigns over Emirate of Granada
• 1340 CE Battle of Río Salado end of the Marinids and return to North Africa
• Ottomans become increasingly influential as do the Mamluks in Egypt
• 1462 CE Nasrids lose Gibraltar
• 1478 CE The Spanish Inquisition begins
• 1492 CE The End of Andalusia. Muhammad XII (Boabdil) surrenders
• Muslims return to North Africa
