Black Saudi who Inspired Malcolm X
Mohammed Suroor Sabban (1898–1971) was the Saudi Minister, Poet and Philanthropist who welcomed Malcolm X during his pilgrimage in 1964. Malcolm X described as Sabban as “a tall, black, very alert”. Sabban was the head of the Muslim World League (al-Rabita) and used his influence and power to support Malcolm in his spiritual journey.
